The 83rd Congress of the French Society of Phlebology (SFP) marked an important milestone for Veinsound, which presented its innovative solution for the non-thermal treatment of varicose veins using focused ultrasound. Throughout the event, numerous phlebologists visited the stand to discover the technology, share their feedback, and discuss the future of varicose vein treatment. Their enthusiasm confirmed that Veinsound meets a medical need by offering an extracorporeal treatment that is both effective and comfortable for patients. In this article, we look back at the presentation of Veinsound technology, the demonstrations given during the congress, and the feedback from the phlebologists in attendance.

Enthusiastic feedback from phlebologists

The feedback gathered during the conference was particularly encouraging. Several practitioners emphasized the apparent simplicity of the system. This perceived fluidity is a major advantage that suggests easy adoption in daily practice, without the logistical constraints of traditional thermal techniques. The prospect of integrating the device directly into the office, rather than in the operating room, was often cited as a decisive advantage.

The clinical potential of Veinsound also generated considerable interest. Participants highlighted the non-thermal and extracorporeal nature of the treatment, which requires no prior anesthesia and involves short, well-tolerated procedures. Several phlebologists described the device as “very promising.” International experts, particularly from Brazil, expressed optimism about upcoming clinical trials and their willingness to use this technology in their own practices.

Veinsound technology: towards an evolution in phlebology

This enthusiasm extends beyond France. Discussions at the SFP highlighted the global potential of a solution that is:

  • non-invasive;

  • non-thermal;

  • capable of treating varicose veins from outside the body and point by point;

  • ultrasound-guided.

For practitioners, the possibility of offering effective treatment without incisions, catheters, or thermal damage represents a real paradigm shift. For patients, it promises a simpler, faster, and less anxiety-inducing treatment process within the doctor's office.

This 83rd SFP congress was therefore a moment of validation and co-construction with the field for Veinsound. All of these interactions reinforce the team's conviction that it is on the right track to help transform practices in phlebology. The next meeting is already scheduled for November 2026, with clinical results and new data to share with the community.
